Laura was Bama Ford's youger sister, born in August of 1879, and we can imagine it was exciting for Edith (Bama) to have a baby sister. Laura would have been a teenager when big sister Edith married her handsome English boyfriend Thomas A. Ford.

Laura married a local boy named Roy Wilcox Hart on October 17 of 1902. By now her big sister has moved to Chicago and Laura probably misses her.

I think Edith missed her baby sister too, because by 1920 Laura and Roy have also moved to Chicago and are living on 53rd Avenue. (Perhaps Thomas pulled some strings and got Roy his job with a lumber company.) Laura has her first and only child Elizabeth Laura after twelve years of marriage.
