Moses III was the son of John and Dorothy Palmer. He was born in Stonington on October 29, 1730.
At the age of 22 he married a woman named Prudence Turner. Prudence had inherited land when her father died, which was very unusual for the time, since normally boys inherit land and girls just get a small amount of money.
Moses had only three children in his life, as he died quite young, at the age of 31. He had a son also named Moses in 1755, Abigail in 1757, and Gilbert in 1760.
