Bio
Moses was one of the 12 children of Walter Palmer. His mother, Rebecca Short, was the second wife of Walter, and she bore 7 of those children. Moses was born as the true middle child of those 7 in the year 1640. When he came into this world, his brother Nehemiah was 2, Elihu 4, and sister Hannah 6. Later he would get younger brothers Benjamin and Gresham and a baby sister Rebecca. Needless to say, he had many playmates!

On May 10, 1666, at the age of 16, Moses and those brothers took the "Freeman's Oath". Later he married Dorothy Gilbert and they had 5 children of their own. He amassed a great deal of land during his lifetime. He also helped to found the first Church of Stonington along with his father.

Moses wrote his will in December of 1700, so at that time he was 60 years old. In it he says that he is aged and weak! He divides his lands and homes between his two boys. He leaves "legacies" to his daughters (whatever that means), but his oldest daughter Dorothy also received 6 sheep.
