Bio
You will likely notice that our ancestors used a lot of the same names over and over in naming their children. There are a few Abigail Palmers in our tree. When miss Abigail Allen married Moses Palmer on April Fool's day of 1703, she became the 1st Abigail Palmer. She may have given birth to 11 children in the 15 years between 1705 and 1720 - but many died in infancy. With no hospitals, doctors, drugs, or antibiotics, infant mortality was very high.

Her first-born was a son they named John, from whom our line continues to descend. A year later daughter Ame was born in 1706. A second daughter was born in 1708 but only lived about a week. In 1709 Abigail has another daughter she named Abigail. Dorothy was born in 1711 and Mary comes two years later. Finally another son was born in 1715, so he was named Moses like his father. A daughter named Submit was born in 1718, and the last recorded child was Rebecca in 1720.

Sadly, Moses died at the age of ten, likely from an accident or illness.
