Bio
Walter is THE immigrant of record from the UK to the new world. He came about 1630-1633. He may have been one of the many seeking religious freedom or one looking for a new start. He acquired a lot of land over time and left it all to his many children.
He married in England and had five children there before coming to the new world. There is no record of his wife. He helped to establish the town of Stonington CT.
