Sarah was the second child born to William and Ann Ford. She was 11 years older than our Thomas A Ford. She lived with her older sister for a time in Lancaster and worked as an assistant teacher.
Sarah never married and lived with her father most of her life. When she died her will was probated in Glouster. She left her effects to her younger sister Ellen Elizabeth Longworth, widow, and her nephews Frank and Arthur Longworth, builders - the amount being 1182 pounds.
