Census records from 1901 reveal a baby named Annie, age 1, listed as the daughter of John and Ellen (Ford) Longworth. She has two older brothers: Arthur is 6 and Frank is 9. Annie's dad works as a Warehouse Man and her mother is a housewife. With the boys off at school during the day, Annie and her mom have much time to themselves to enjoy.
As happens all too often, baby Annie is taken from the family much too soon. She dies on July 2, 1901. There are no records to indicate the cause of her death.
Of some comfort perhaps to this small family, baby Annie is laid to rest with her paternal grandparents, Tom and Lucy Longworth, and her name is added to their large headstone.
