George is the third son of James and Clara Ford, born in Singleton, Sussex County on August 6th of 1832. He marries Mary Ann Till at The Close in Chichester on April 2nd 1864.
They have three children. Clara Annie was born in 1866, Elizabeth J in 1867, and finally George J comes along in 1869 to complete the family of five.
