Bio
Albigence was born in Dorchester, New Hampshire on November 7th of 1788, so the country was still very young! We know that by 1808 his father is living in Ohio - but perhaps this 20 year old was already working at that time and chose to stay back.

He marries Sarah Ingrham, a local girl on April 28th, 1816. We believe they left right away to join all the other Woodworths in Ohio, and their first born son, Ezra, is born in 1817, followed by Luther Loomis in 1818 and Albigance T in 1820. Their final child is born in 1825 - a girl this time, named for her mother, Sarah, who dies the following year. (Being just 33 she likely died of an accident or sudden illness.) She certainly leaves Al with a handful: three boys under nine and an infant girl.

Al does remarry, but not for about 20 years. In 1842 he marries Elizabeth Wheaton Allen who is 18 years his junior. When Al is 57 years old his wife (who is then 39) gives birth to Newell Allen Woodworth, maternal grandfather to our own WKF. Newell also has a sister who is 2 years older than her grown up big brothers.

One must wonder how he managed all those years without his wife. Perhaps his family was very close and his brother's wives helped. Al manages to work the farm for another 30 years before his death in 1875 (the same year WKF's mother was born to Al's son Newell).
