Bio
Stanley is the younger brother of Bob Kjellgren, who was married to Dorothy Schrom. (He was therefore our Aunt Mary Shepherd's uncle.) He was the youngest of three children born to Martin and Nellie Kjellgren.
Stanley followed big brother Bob to the University of Wisconsin and into the fraternity life there. Big brother Bob was very handsome and active in school, and little Stanley, I imagine, grew weary of following in those big brother footsteps.
He did NOT follow Bob into the family business. Stanley started his own little company he called Kjellgren Lumber. He had a family and did not live in the same house as his parents like big brother Bob. Stanley also went off to serve in the Navy in WWII. He was active in his church and was a Shriner. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Forest Hills Country Club.
Much unlike his big brother, Stanley lived a very long life and died at the ripe old age of 90!
