Bio
Leona was born in Boston and perhaps that is where she met Harold - when he was going to MIT. Harold and Lee were married on February 9, 1929, in Boston, Massachusetts. By 1940 they are living in a home they owned worth $15,000 at 4001 Central Avenue in Hinsdale, Illinois. Harold is doing well as a General Contractor. Lee's widowed mother Minny is living with them then.
Lee loved animals and was very active in the prevention of cruelty to them. She helped to establish the Hinsdale Humane Society and served on its Board in the 1960s. When she passed away on May 18th of 1990 she bequeathed the Society with enough funds to establish a Director of Education post.
