Rachel Young was born in 1800 in Herefordshire England and was married to John Williams by the time she was 18. They were married on Halloween in 1818 in the exciting port town and big city of Bristol on the western edge of England. That may have been the biggest event and trip of young Rachel's life as she returns to Herefordshire and her life as a farmer's wife. Rachel has 9 children between her 22nd and 40th birthdays. She dies at 73, the same year as her husband John. She is the maternal grandmother of Thomas A. Ford
