Bio
William Charles Oakley is the second husband of Dorothy Schrom and step-father to our Aunt Mary Shepherd. We believe he was about 26 when he enlisted to fight in WWII, returning home in 1944. He then became a lawyer. Eventually he met the widow Dorothy, and they were soon married. Not long after he and Dorothy had a daughter whom they named Joan.
